SWBR Architects promotes Sickler to municipal practice leader, Lupiani to branch manager
Rochester, NY SWBR Architects recently unveiled two promotions. Randal Sickler, AIA, has been appointed to municipal practice leader and Matthew Lupiani, AIA, has been promoted to branch manager of the firm’s Central New York office.
In his new role, Sickler will advance the firm’s civic and governmental design group. Bringing over 30 years of experience, he creates functional and efficient spaces for court, law enforcement, emergency services and other public facilities.
He will continue to develop solutions that enhance the civic realm and provide a thought-leadership-based approach to planning and architectural design on state and county projects.
“The focus on our municipal design practice is a strategic growth initiative,” said David Beinetti, AIA, SWBR president. “Randy’s experience in this market sector will naturally drive increased opportunities for the firm and allow us to offer specialized, expanded services to current and future clients.”
Lupiani has been promoted to branch manager. He will be responsible for implementing the firm’s mission of positively impacting lives through meaningful design and provide expertise, innovation and entrepreneurial thinking. He supports all of the firm’s design studios and manages the Syracuse office operations.
“Based on the talent and experience of our local team, our Central New York office is uniquely positioned for growth, specifically in the housing, commercial and education markets,” Beinetti added. “Matt is a brilliant architect and leader, and we are proud to have him manage this charge.”
