On June 28th, members of CoreNet NYC gathered at 11 Times Sq. for the annual meeting where award winners were honored.
John Vazquez, senior VP of global real estate for Verizon, was awarded Corporate Real Estate Executive of the Year. Dale Schlather, vice chairman at Cushman & Wakefield, was named Service Provider of the Year. Time Inc. was awarded Commercial Interiors Project of the Year Over 150,000 rentable s/f and Teach for America was awarded the same title for project under 150,000 rentable s/f. Additionally, several members received volunteer appreciation awards during the event.

• 2016 Corporate Real Estate Executive of the Year: John Vazquez, SVP, Global Real Estate, Verizon. • 2016 Service Provider of the Year: Dale Schlather, vice chairman, Cushman & Wakefield. Schlather joined Cushman Realty Corporation in 1986 as National Director of Financial Services based in Los Angeles. In 1991, Schlather founded the San Diego office of Cushman Realty where he was a senior broker for three years. In 1994, chlather relocated to the New York City office of Cushman Realty where he was Senior Managing Director. In 2001, following the merger of Cushman Realty with Cushman & Wakefield, Schlather joined the midtown office of Cushman & Wakefield as Senior Director. In 2012, Schlather was promoted to Vice Chairman and was the Top Producing Broker for Cushman & Wakefield. In 2015 he was the number two producer for Cushman & Wakefield and the top producer in NYC. During his 30-year career at Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Schlather has been responsible for the financial structuring, analysis and negotiation of major corporate and institutional relocations involving the assessment of current leasehold interests and the feasibility of lease/equity transactions, development opportunities and joint venture partnerships. He has played an integral role in the structuring, analysis, and implementation of over 30 million square feet of lease transactions in over thirty-five cities across the United States and internationally, as a tenant representation broker.
