Kuznicki joins SGW Properties as controller

New York, NY SGW Properties, a New York-based real estate and property management company, has hired Jonathan Kuznicki, CPA, as controller to be based in the company’s Brooklyn office, according to Yeshaya Wasserman, president of the company.
In this role, Kuznicki will be responsible for maintaining and implementing best practices relating to accounting procedures, budget management, insurance policies, and tax and financial reporting.
Kuznicki will work alongside Wasserman in the financial analysis of potential opportunities, structuring and financing new transactions, and maximizing the operating performance of the existing portfolio.
“Jonathan will be an enormous asset as we continue to seek new opportunities throughout the New York metro area,” said Wasserman. “His proven experience in maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards with regard to accounting procedures, preparation of financial documents and cash flow processes will help better position us to identify areas of growth, and expand our presence in the market.”
Prior to joining SGW Properties, Kuznicki served for three years at Hudson Bay Capital Management, a hedge fund which manages over $2 billion in assets, performing accounting and financial analysis for the management company, and overseeing the allocation process between entities.
Previously, he served for four years with Rothstein Kass, a mid-sized accounting firm, as an account manager in their Family Office Group providing lifestyle management for celebrity and high net worth individuals.

Kuznicki graduated Touro College with a dual major in Accounting and Mathematics/ Actuarial Studies, and is a Certified Public Accountant. He currently resides in Brooklyn with his wife and three sons.
