Melville, NY The Advantage Group, an industry leader in title insurance and related real estate services for 30 years, has promoted three executives: David Schwartzberg is promoted to executive vice president, Advantage Group; Theresa Hicks to senior vice president, Advantage Legal; and Chris Nuzzi to senior vice president, Advantage Title.

Schwartzberg, executive vice president and counsel, Advantage Group, guides clients on complexities of all types of foreclosures and real estate litigation. The Advantage Group is unique in being the only title services company in the industry with a dedicated foreclosure attorney giving clients the latest insights in foreclosure legislation. Prior to joining Advantage Group in 2004, Schwartzberg was of counsel to the Long Island law firm Mario B. Mikelinich, P.C. and previously worked at several mid-sized foreclosure firms. A Merrick resident and member of the Nassau County Bar Association, he attended Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a Juris Doctor degree from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center.
Hicks, senior vice president, Advantage Legal, is responsible for managing critical client processes from a growing volume of orders through to accounts receivable. Previously she was a vice president managing operations and recently celebrated 15 years with Advantage Group having joined in 2001 as a member of the production department. A Bethpage resident, she attended Calhoun High School in Merrick and graduated magna cum laude from St. John’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.
Nuzzi, senior vice president, Advantage Title, is responsible for business development and assisting clients in their commercial and residential real estate transactions. Prior to joining the firm’s flagship company in 2014 as a vice president, he was a two-term Southampton Town Councilman. He began in public service at the Suffolk County Executive’s Office in 1996; and in title insurance in 2007. He is an expert in land use practices and the laws that govern them. He has deep knowledge about environmental and preservation needs, zoning regulations and landmark real estate transfers. Born in East Hampton and now a Westhampton Beach resident, he earned a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
