Ronkonkoma, NY Long Island electrical contracting firm, Roland’s Electric, Inc. has completed a new construction project, Concern Ronkonkoma, a new $24.7 million project located at 58 Portion Rd. – the former site of a rest home. The seven-acre property now houses a new 59-unit rental development, comprised of eight one and two-story townhouses. 30 one-bedroom apartments are reserved for low income and homeless veterans with psychiatric disabilities. One, two and three-bedroom apartments will be available for low-income families later this year. Roland’s Electric electricians began the process of installing electrical and fire alarm systems in all 59 individual units, by bringing site utilities and electrical service to all eight residential buildings and the jewel of the development, the three-story clubhouse. The clubhouse will provide multiple resources and opportunities to residents through special social, vocational, health, and recreational services. Roland’s Electric outfitted this building with a125KW generator; fire alarm system; security system with CCTV; media center; occupancy sensors; and an access control entry system for residents to gain access into the clubhouse. Roland’s Electric performed all wiring, lighting and connections for the clubhouse elevator offices, common rooms, public areas, kitchens, as well as exterior site and pole lighting around the property. High efficiency LED lighting was used throughout the project.
Roland’s Electric was chosen for their vast electrical experience in multifamily housing, having worked on countless projects of varying size throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
