Old Westbury, NY The Long Island Real Estate Group (LIREG) honored founding board member Len Karmel of Roslyn, NY-based Advance Abstract Corp. at its April 6 breakfast meeting for his 11 years of service on the networking and philanthropic group’s executive board. Karmel, 85, of Great Neck, recently stepped down from the board.  To honor him, LIREG donated $3,000 to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. LIREG, formed in 2004 to encourage networking among Long Island real estate developers, owners and allied trades and to raise funds for charitable real estate-related projects on Long Island, has almost 400 members.
