Uniondale, NY Harris Beach PLLC is expanding its state-wide presence with the opening of a second office on Long Island effective January 1
st with the merger of Brown & Altman, LLP, of Melville, Suffolk County, a firm well-noted for its commercial real estate practice. Harris Beach opened its Uniondale, Nassau County, office in 2010, which has since expanded its practices in the metropolitan area in corporate law, economic development, education law, municipal law, public finance, intellectual property, real estate finance, labor and employment law, government compliance and investigations, and commercial litigation.
Brown & Altman is merging its practice into Harris Beach and will operate from its current location at 538 Broadhollow Rd. as Harris Beach. Brown & Altman’s six attorneys and four administrative personnel are joining Harris Beach. The attorneys are Keith Brown and David Altman, founding partners of Brown & Altman, partner Michael DiLeo, and associates John Anzalone, Frank Marallo, Jr., and Andrew Stoecker.
These attorneys are noted for their commercial real estate practices as well as advising clients on land use and zoning regulations. They provide clients in the real estate development industry, including commercial lenders, with a broad range of legal services, including financing, leasing, zoning, environmental law, real property law, administrative law, construction law, and litigation in state and federal courts. In addition to representing developers, they also represent financial institutions

Brown concentrates on corporate representation in a wide range of real estate matters, from complex commercial disputes to issues related to zoning and land use regulations. He counsels many corporations on real estate development, liability avoidance and litigation, as well as compliance with federal and state environmental laws. Brown received his JD from the Touro College Jacob Fuchsberg Law Center and his BA from the State University of New York at Albany.
Altman has extensive experience in real estate law, commercial litigation and environmental law having handled a broad range of matters involving zoning and municipal law, commercial and residential transactional real estate, environmental law, commercial and civil litigation and corporate and commercial transactions. Altman received his JD from Hofstra University School of Law and his BA from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
DiLeo is well-versed in the field of commercial real estate and commercial financing. Dileo represents financial institutions in complex commercial lending transactions. He also operated his own real estate investment and consulting firm, where he assisted commercial lenders and hedge funds in making financing available to real estate developers. He also invested in his own commercial and multi-family residential real estate projects, while maintaining his commercial and residential real estate legal practice. DiLeo received his JD from Hofstra University School of Law and his BS from Fairfield University.
