The Alliance for Downtown N.Y. appoints Berger as new president

The Alliance for Downtown New York, one of the city's largest Business Improvement District's, has appointed Elizabeth Berger, a member of the organizations board since 1998, as its new president.
Berger brings to the Downtown Alliance more than 20 years of experience in federal, state and local government. She is currently the senior government relations advisor for the Law Offices of Cladia Wagner, where she has been advising private, cultural, educational and other nonprofit clients for the past five and a half years. Her current and former clients include Viacom International, American Museum of Natural History, American Airlines, The Asia Society, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The New York Public Library and The Apollo Theater Foundation.
"We are tremendously pleased to have Elizabeth Berger assume the helm of the Downtown Alliance," said Robert Douglass, chairman of the Downtown Alliance.
Berger will join the Downtown Alliance in early November. She replaces Eric Deutsche.
