Bertwood Realty brings FranceLab to NYC: 4,610 s/f lease
Manhattan, NY According to Bertwood Realty, the firm has completed of a 4,610 s/f, five-year office lease for FranceLab Beauty Architects at 264 West 40th St. This is FranceLab’s first move into the country, and this space will be home to their U.S. operations.
The landlord at 264 West 40th St.is Renaissance Midtown West LLC and was represented by Nora Stats and Bradley Fishel of Coldwell Banker Commercial.
Bertwood client, Michel et Augustin, made the introduction to FranceLabs. According to Bertrand de Soultrait, president of Bertwood Realty, “Their CEO told Thibeaut that they should work with us if they wanted to find the right space at the right price.”
Bertwood had helped Michel et Augustin find their footing here in the U.S. last year when they were in preliminary discussions with Starbucks. “Their business has skyrocketed since settling into their new offices,” said de Soultrait. “FranceLabs will also have great success here, so we needed to find them space that could provide them with the room to grow, as well as put them in a location that was convenient and cost-effective.”
Bertwood Realty continues to introduce European brands to the U.S. “Since I started Bertwood,” said de Soultrait, “we’ve also brought Aux Merveilleux, Carre ‘d Artistes, and Teads.TV, a worldwide leader in video advertising to New York.”
The tenant just moved in. Founded in 2007 by Thibaut Fougeras (after 15 years at L’Oreal and Louis Vuitton Groups), FranceLabs brings French know-how and excellence to cosmetic development and branding, providing both creative and technical skills to its customers.
