Manhattan, NY Bertwood Realty has completed the sale of a 2,105 s/f office condo for Marco Polo International. The $2.4 million transaction involved unit 602 at 520 West 27th St., between 10th and 11th.
According to Deborah Stewart, the Bertwood broker who represented the purchaser, “Mr. Liuzzo really liked the wall of windows on two sides of the space. It also has high ceilings, bamboo floors and an open kitchen with modern appliances. Best of all it comes with an outdoor terrace that runs the length of the space.”
Michael Rudder and Michael Heller of the Rudder Property Group represented the seller, Eldar Tuvey.
Marco Polo International intends on moving into the space sometime in the fall.
Overlooking the High Line and Hudson River, 520 West 27th is in the West Chelsea Arts District. Built in 2008 and comprised of 65,000 s/f of office space, the unit purchased includes two private bathrooms and its own HVAC unit.
“Mr. Liuzzo wanted something convenient, but with style and elegance,” said Stewart. “This space provided everything they were looking for.”
Marco Liuzzo is president of Marco Polo International, a worldwide distributor of plastic resins. Founded by his father in 1985, Marco has been running the company since 2000. With headquarters in Melville, this is their second area office location.
