Neversink, NY According to Steve Perfit, senior executive director with the Hudson Valley office of Cushman & Wakefield | Pyramid Brokerage Company, Cannie D’s Corner, a gas station, convenience store and neighborhood shopping center at 4 Schumway Rd. and Rte. 55, was sold to Mark McLewin and Christina Aby-Azar. Perfit, who represented the seller, brokered the sale of the business and associated real estate.
Built in 2005 on 2.8 acres, the neighborhood shopping center includes 5,428 s/f of retail stores, gas pumps, and approved plans to build an additional 7,000 s/f of retail space. The new owners plan to continue running the convenience store, ice cream shop and gas operation, with future plans to include beer sales after recently obtaining a newly granted beer sales license allowed by the town for the first time in 80 years. They also plan to expand the center in the future by constructing more retail stores on the site. The sale price for the businesses and real estate was $1.125 million. Financing was provided by Catskill Hudson Bank and the Sullivan County IDA provided a tax PILOT and incentive package to the new owners.
