Brooklyn, NY Tenants at several Brooklyn buildings are jazzed over musical performances hosted by Shamah Properties.
Residents got treated to a jazz performance by The Albert Marques Jazz Group performed at One St. Paul’s Court in Ditmas Park in the building’s lobby. And several weeks ago, a harpist entertained residents with a classical music program.
“We like to bring in cultural arts programs to our properties because at these events, tenants can get to know each other and feel as though they live in a community,” said Alan Shamah, CEO of Shamah Properties. “It’s a better living experience that we like to foster and a way to keep tenants happy.”
“The band leader, Albert Marques is a tenant in one of our properties and it’s also great to hire tenants in our buildings to do projects like this,” added Shamah.
Shamah says the company has also instituted several “tenant focused” initiatives that have gotten high marks from tenants, including a “Meet and Greet” program where company representatives get to know the tenants at the property and to hear what they have to say. “For our tenants our goal is to provide best in class housing and apartment services.”
Shamah Properties/Shamco Management, the multifamily investment firm, currently owns and manages some 25 properties comprising over 1,500 rental units in Brooklyn, Manhattan and the New York area. It is a second generation business founded in 1980 by Alan Shamah’s father, Joseph Shamah, in Brooklyn, where he purchased his first property.
