The Global Business Alliance of Greater Binghamton & Southern Tier to launch Executive Training Series October 13

Binghamton, NY The Global Business Alliance of Greater Binghamton & Southern Tier (GBA) will launch the first of a 6-Session Export Market Executive Training Series targeted especially for Small to Mid-Sized Business Owners and CEOs and designed for economic growth on Tuesday, October 13 at The Binghamton Club. Stephen Day, GBA board president, said, “You now have local access to international expertise, resources, networking and skills training to potentially expand your market while developing an actual export plan.” Thanks to a partnership with Empire State Development (ESD), the GBA will benefit from funding from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), and ESD will use its Global Appalachia grant to provide hands-on training with full reimbursement for qualified manufacturing and services firm executives in the ARC Region. Attending the Export Market Executive Training series will help owners and executives in finance and operations determine which international markets are attractive, prioritize efforts, develop strategies to increase and reach prospective buyers. Topics include: Export Business Planning, Assessing Readiness, US Department of Commerce – Commercial Services, Market Research, Export Regulations, Understanding the Global Environment, Export Compliance, Language, Culture, Foreign Business Ethics, Export Logistics, etc. Submitting the Export Plan is the training finale.
