July 27, 2015 - Brokerage
Coldwell Banker Commercial Affiliates today announced its 2015 graduating class of the Coldwell Banker Commercial Emerging Broker Training (EBT) Program. With this class's graduation, the EBT Program has educated and certified more than 500 Coldwell Banker Commercial affiliated real estate professionals since the program's inception in 2007. The EBT Program is uniquely designed to accelerate the careers of new professionals with 18 months of industry experience or less. Program graduates acquire the knowledge, skills and resources necessary to succeed and thrive in today's dynamic commercial real estate market, while interacting with other program participants and expanding their professional networks. "The most important investment you can make is toward advancing your education and skills," said Fred Schmidt, president and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Commercial Affiliates. "The EBT Program is one of the best educational offerings in the commercial real estate industry as evidenced by the tremendous retention rate of new professionals. This rigorous program provides students with necessary skills that will directly contribute to their development and success as demonstrated by the program's numerous graduates." "The EBT Program has been a tremendous help in training my new agents," said Rick Canup, president, Coldwell Banker Commercial Rick Canup Realtors in Lubbock, Texas. "We sent numerous agents to EBT, and the training they received has given them a deep understanding of the real estate industry in addition to developing specific skill sets needed to jumpstart their careers." The EBT Program is held annually over a four-month period, offering a blend of on-site, instructor-led classes, online instructor-led learning sessions, and field assignments, all of which are supplemented with mentoring from a seasoned professional in each participant's home office. The next EBT Program will be held from January through June 2016. The program is offered at no cost to participants, excluding travel costs associated with attending the live educational sessions.
