July 13, 2015 - Long Island
Long Island Industrial, which owns and operates a mixed portfolio of commercial properties across Long Island, arranged a new lease with Gold Medal Bakery, which will occupy 11,880 s/f at 200 13th Ave. Tommy Tsiolis, director of leasing for Long Island Industrial, represented Long Island Industrial, while Bob Misa of Industry One represented Gold Medal Bakery. "As Gold Medal Bakery continues to grow, we were able to identify an ideal property that would best meet their needs," said Tsiolis. "The strategic location and configuration of the industrial space were some of the key factors that made this an easy decision for Gold Medal Bakery." Situated on 50 acres in Suffolk County, Equi-Park is positioned near the Long Island Expressway and MacArthur Airport. The 661,000 s/f industrial park is comprised of eight buildings, which offer a combination of office, R&D and industrial space. "We look forward to forging this new relationship with Gold Medal Bakery and will ensure that they receive the highest level of service at Equi-Park," Tsiolis said. Founded in 1912, Gold Medal Bakery is a leading provider of private-label and branded bakery products including breads, bagels, rolls and English muffins that are available throughout the Northeast. Based in Fall River, MA, the company is privately held, and continues to operate as a family-owned business.
