Name: Ann MacAffer Title: Associate Broker Company Name CBRE-Albany Follow my company on Twitter @cbreAlbany and @CBRE What year did you start your career in commercial real estate: 1982 What recent honor, achievement or recognition has meant the most to you and why? Inside the real estate community, Outstanding Member of the Year (no longer being given) 1995, outside of real estate - Jefferson Award- 2012 for developing and opening Gilda's Club Capital Region as the board chair and founder. And after other volunteer work since 1982, being recognized by the Junior League of Albany as the Sustainer Bowl winner. What has been your experience with having a mentor or being a mentor yourself? I participated in the CBRE mentor program about a year ago, some days I even thought I needed a mentor myself, but I learned so much about the basics and how they have changed being a mentor for someone across the country in Detroit. What is the first thing you do when you arrive in the office in the morning? Coffee and email and clear my messages. Unless I have promised someone something over night and then I do that first. What did you want to be when you grew up? An architect.
