Roland's Electric, Inc. has received recognition for their contributions to electrical safety awareness, in conjunction with Electrical Safety Month. For over 30 years the month of May has been Electrical Safety Month, started by the ESFI (Electrical Safety Foundation International). Stephen Cadieux, president and Justin Gallo, safety director-senior project manager of Roland's Electric, Inc. were recently presented with a proclamation passed by a Babylon town board resolution by deputy supervisor-councilman Antonio Martinez, at their headquarters. The company was honored to also receive a Safety Month Proclamation from the office of Suffolk County executive, Steven Bellone. As an electrical contracting company, navigating hazards on the job is a daily function because of the nature of the business, so safety training is a big part of their core culture. Roland's Electric often speaks on electrical safety in the workplace, out in the community. Most recently, Gallo - who has certifications and qualifications from OSHA, NFPA, the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, and numerous other occupational health and safety organizations, spoke before the International Facility Management Association's (IFMA) Long Island chapter in Plainview and also at Brookhaven National Laboratories, who hosted a Professional Development Conference for the American Society of Safety Engineers - Long Island Chapter. Roland's Electric's electrical safety outreach helps facility managers and businesses maintain a safe working environment for employees. Statistically, the majority of occupational electrical accidents are suffered by people and workers who do not work in the electrical field, are inexperienced in electrical methods and safety, or whose tasks may inadvertently put them in contact with live current though energized parts or wires which result in accidental electrical burns, shocks, or fatalities.
