Pollaci named president of Nucor Construction

Nucor Construction Corp. (NCC) has named Joseph Pollaci president. Pollaci previously held the position of VP and will now oversee the entirety of NCC's operations across all departments.
His father, Mark Pollaci, founded the business in 1986 and will now hold the position of CEO. He will remain active in the business and an integral member of the NCC team.
"I am honored to be entrusted by my father with the future of his business," Pollaci said.
"As the second generation of NCC, I understand the significance of the foundation on which this company was built and will ensure that our core value of trust remains at the forefront of our controlled growth."
Prior to joining NCC in 2011, Pollaci spent eight years in commercial real estate negotiating office leases that received accolades in the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. As Vice President of NCC, he developed and enhanced internal procedures while increasing estimating and revenue.
Pollaci holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Providence College, and remains active with the alumni boards of Chaminade High School and Providence College.
Pollaci also serves as Executive Chairman of the Shalom Center for Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to aiding efforts toward peace in Africa.
