The Realty Foundation of New York's first annual cocktail party held on April 30th at the Rainbow Room, drew a crowd of more than 250 real estate professionals. Eager to attend a spring networking event in an iconic venue after the long winter freeze, everyone networked, were riveted by the amazing 360 degree views and enjoyed a wide selection of marvelous hors d'oeuvres plus an open bar. Norman Sturner, CEO of Murray Hill Properties was the honoree. "We were thrilled to honor Norman, vice president of the foundation, who is committed to our goals and who has worked so hard to help us achieve them," said Dale Hemmerdinger, chairman of the Realty Foundation who officiated and introduced Lawrence Benenson, principal of Benenson Capital Partners LLC, who talked about the Foundation's scholarship program. David Sturner followed with glowing words about his father as real estate mentor. Founded in 1954 by a group of passionate real estate professionals that were concerned about the financial risks facing the brokerage community, the foundation's membership includes 65 of the real estate community's most prominent members. To date, the foundation has disbursed more than $7.6 million in financial aid and scholarships to indigent brokers and college-bound students respectively. Chairman H.
