REBNY Brooklyn brokers present $2,500 to The Caring Community

The Real Estate Board of New York's (REBNY) Brooklyn residential members presented a $2,500 check to a Brooklyn homeless organization. The 2007 grant recipient was "The Caring Community." The Caring Community does extensive work with senior citizens, hot meals for the indigent and a social housing action program. The tradition of giving to fellow New Yorkers needing shelter has been the focus of the REBNY Deal of the Year Gala for 20 years. As of 2007, REBNY has raised and distributed over $1 million to homeless NYC charities.
Other 2007 grant recipients were: Capuchin Food Pantry, The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, The Partnership for the Homeless, Goddard Riverside, The Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter, The Bridge Fund for New York. Diane Ramirez of Halstead Property and co-chair of The Deal of the Year Committee; Arthur Makar (check in hand) of The Caring Community; David Perry of The Clarett Group and Michael Moran of Prudential Douglas Elliman.
