Gettry Marcus CPA, P.C. looks back as they celebrate one year as the first North American member firm of TGS-Global, an international network of independent accounting firms.
In the initial year that Gettry Marcus has been a member of TGS-Global, the organization has restructured with new initiatives underway. Steven Marcus, managing partner of Gettry Marcus, serves on the TGS-Global executive board. Marcus has a key role in attracting new, like minded U.S. firms, to the organization, including the recent addition of Los Angeles based, CNM LLP, as the second North American member. As part of their strategic plan, TGS-Global continues to seek additional U.S. firms for their network.
Gettry Marcus has also made inroads with European and Asian firms, by working on tax and consulting projects. In addition, Sandrina Devlopoulos, Gettry Marcus' COO, has been named the TGS-Global marketing committee chair. Marketing representatives, from member firms, gather together quarterly to share ideas and initiatives with one another.
The Gettry Marcus team served as host as TGS-Global held their two day Global Conference at Le Parker Meridien Hotel, in NYC in mid-November. Marcus, will represent Gettry Marcus as he prepares to attend and participate at the upcoming TGS-Global European Conference in Frankfurt, Germany in May.
In June, as part of the firm's Corporate Responsibility Initiative, Gettry Marcus and TaylorCocks, TGS-Global's U.K. member firm, will jointly participate in the Sunrise Association's charity walk, which will be held simultaneously in both countries. The Sunrise Association provides free day camp for children with cancer and their siblings.
As an independent member of TGS, Gettry Marcus can meet the challenges of a borderless world and use these new resources to serve their clients nationally and globally. The firm's membership in TGS denotes an on-going effort by the firm to meet and surpass clients' needs. Gettry Marcus now has the capability to broaden its services to the international business community.
