Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, an industry-leading manufacturer of high-quality refrigeration and cooking equipment, has leased 120,550 s/f at 300 Michael Dr. Lee Brodsky, Dan Oliver and Dan Marcus of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented ownership, BEB Real Estate. The tenant was represented by Richard Caputi, managing principal and Ralph Benzakein, vice president, Cresa Long Island.
The space, comprising half of the building's 259,150 s/f, was previously leased to Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Inc., in November 2014. Simultaneously, Sub-Zero and Wolf was outgrowing its distribution, service and maintenance operations that was being run out of two separate buildings in Hicksville totaling 70,000 s/f, and was in need of larger space. The lease was signed in October 2014 and Sub-Zero and Wolf is expected to move its Long Island operations from Hicksville to Syosset in March.
"We were exceptionally pleased that there was no delay in securing a tenant in need of such large space," said Bert Brodsky, CEO, BEB Real Estate. "And, keeping Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances on Long Island also helps the region economically."
"Our decision to relocate and expand is our commitment to the L.I. economy," said Jeff Moore, president of Sub-Zero Group East, LLC on the company's decision to lease the space.
