Bergmann Associates has named engineering veteran Pietro Giovenco, PE, - chief operating officer, where he will oversee the company's day-to-day operations and future growth. Giovenco, a civil engineer by trade, has been with Bergmann for 26 years and was instrumental in the development of various businesses and capabilities within the AE firm, including land development and commercial/retail building design. During his tenure Pete has cultivated several key clients that have become major contributors to Bergmann's success. Prior to this recent appointment, Pete was responsible for managing all of the company's 13 regional offices (located in NY, PA, MI, NC, GA, FL & OH) and is presently leading the effort to identify Bergmann's next headquarters office location for its 200+ Rochester-based employees (380 total employees). Pete received a BT in Civil Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology and recently completed his MBA from the RIT - Saunders College of Business. A Walworth, NY resident, he loves spending time with his family, cooking and being outdoors.
