McGuire Development Company, a local commercial development, real estate consulting and property management firm, secured the leasing of 106,000 s/f of space at the Concourse Center on Genesee St. to Alside, one of the leading manufacturers of vinyl siding and accessories, vinyl windows and patio doors. The long-term lease brings the 466,000 s/f building to 98% occupancy. Alside will utilize the space as a regional warehouse and distribution hub.
McGuire Development brought the Concourse Center into its portfolio in the fourth quarter of 2012 at 43% occupancy. Since that time, the company has completed a series of capital improvement projects which have included a new roof and aesthetic improvements.
McGuire Development also revealed that it will submit plans to the town of Cheektowaga for a new 50,000 s/f building to be constructed on an outparcel at the Concourse Center. The new facility will meet the region's growing demand for warehouse space and will be marketed for a variety of uses including flex/office, manufacturing, service and warehouse.
"The location at 4039 Genesee St. has proven to be one of the most accessible warehouse-servicing buildings in Western New York, with its driveway being only 500 ft. from the entrance to the Kensington Expressway," said James Dentinger, president of McGuire Development.
