Upper East Side boys and girls will get more than just a lollipop when they sit down for a haircut at New York's latest retail concept, Milk & Cookies Kids Spa and Salon. The salon at 1196 First Ave. offers spa services along with free gourmet milk and cookies, according to Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) Retail, which represented the landlord and tenant in the lease. "This is a fun new concept that turns a necessity into an experience that kids and their parents can look forward to," said NGKF Retail senior managing director Stuart Morden, who along with associate Lucas Kooyman, represented the tenant. "This is an ideal location in the heart of the family-friendly Upper East Side neighborhood." The brain-child of cousins Jataon and Teychenne Whitley, the hair salon, which spans 1,100 s/f, features spa and hair stations, a party room and a complimentary Cookie Café that offers ice cold milk and a yummy assortment of cookies including gluten-free and peanut-free options. Pint-sized customers can get haircuts, up-dos and washes, along with various manicure and pedicure spa treatments. In the "Cool Dudes" section, for example, boys can get temporary tattoos, the Slimy Booger Invasion Treatment and gummy worm mud-pie treatments. NGKF Retail director Jonathan Krivine and associate director Aaron Cukier represented the landlord, the Stahl Org.
