The Kaufman Organization recently brokered a five-year lease for L'Olivier Floral Atelier. According to Elliot Warren of the Kaufman Organization, who represented the tenant in the transaction, the company signed a lease for 2,500 s/f at 37 West 17th St..
Kimia Shadrokh and Daniel Gohari of the Moinian Group represented the landlord in the transaction. Although the terms of the lease were undisclosed, the asking price for the space was $37 per s/f.
L'Olivier Floral Atelier was founded in 1994 by Olivier Giugini, whose list of celebrity clientele boasts names like Julia Roberts, Madonna, and Sting. A landmark brownstone at 19 E. 76th St. was Olivier's first location, later adding a second location in 2004 at 213 W. 14th St., L'Olivier Downtown, whose sleek studio features floor-to-ceiling windows and a lush backyard garden. In both spaces, Olivier and his staff not only produce stunning arrangements for daily orders and residential accounts, but also specialize in creating dramatic flowers, décor and set design for special events, personalized weddings and intimate soirees. In the past, L'Olivier has been the featured designer for the Macy's Flower show and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. His elegant creations were the choice of Chef Bobby Flay at his 2005 wedding, and have also adorned the set of Entertainment Weekly's 2006 Sopranos' cover shoot.
