Its proximity to the United Nation's and the area's extensive cultural and fine dining scene include some of the city's renowned restaurants such as Chin Chin, Grand Central Oyster Bar & Restaurant and The Smith & Wollensky's Steak House. For the fashion aficionados, it also means being close to some of the world's top luxury brands like Chanel, Gucci, Hermes and Prada. The Alexander boasts two retail/commercial real estate floors on the ground and second level. Both spaces contain over 6,000 s/f and the second floor has allocated 1,463 s/f which can be utilized as outdoor seating. The new Second Ave. subway station that is being planned for 52nd and 53rd St. will further add to the attraction for retailers in this prime location. Castle Development Group's senior vice president of development, Steven Dobbs said, "we are building a brand of luxury residences that aims to extend the boundaries of life to the fullest. The design is truly a study in balance and harmony." The Alexander offers one, two, three and four bedroom units, all equipped with the finest finishes, Poggenpohl kitchens, white oak floors and individually controlled central heat and air conditioning. The floor to ceiling windows combined with the twelve foot ceilings creates an airy sun-bathed space with loft-like qualities. Many of the units include private outdoor spaces further complementing the openness of the interior layouts.
