February 23, 2015 - Brokerage
Law firm Kasowitz acted as pro bono counsel to Hudson River Park Trust in the negotiation of the Pier55 lease and related security documents for the construction of a $130 million public open space and performance pier. "Both Kasowitz as a firm, and our real estate group, have a strong commitment to providing pro bono services to our surrounding community, and it was rewarding to help bring this stage of what is a historic and transformative development along our city's waterfront to fruition," said Douglas Heitner, partner with Kasowitz's real estate practice. Heitner was joined by Matthew Deavers in representing the trust.
