RKF has arranged a 600 s/f lease with fine jewelry retailer Aaron Basha at 673 Madison Ave. on the Upper East Side. The brand, best known for its signature line of jeweled and enameled baby shoe and ladybug charms, is currently located at 685 Madison Ave. and expects to move to its new location later this year. The transaction was arranged by RKF's executive vice president Joshua Strauss and associate Benjamin Zack, who represented Aaron Basha, while the building ownership, Duell Management, was represented in-house. Aaron Basha will occupy 600 s/f on the ground floor and lower level of the 9,329 s/f property, which is situated on the prime northeast corner of East 61st St. The new boutique is located across from Barney's New York and situated among a strong mix of co-tenants, including Hermès, Berluti, Brunella Cucinelli, Michael Kors, Tod's, Georg Jensen and Hublot. According to Strauss, the relocation was prompted by a neighboring retailer's lease expansion. "After evaluating several spaces, we were able to find a new space in close proximity to the brand's current Madison Avenue location, which made it a seamless transition for its existing customer base," he said. "This prime Madison Avenue space is perfect for a world-class brand like Aaron Basha."
