WhiteStar Advisors, LLC has appointed CBRE Group as the exclusive leasing agent for 16-16 Whitestone Expressway, a newly redeveloped 60,000 s/f LEED Gold office property. Roy Chipkin of CBRE's Long Island operations will oversee the marketing campaign of the office complex on behalf of the ownership, the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 30 Pension Trust Fund and its Benefits Fund.
Located on the Whitestone Expressway, the class A office property offers the infrastructure and physical features that are highly sought after by the broader market, particularly corporate users. With its location, green building aspects, solar power, Aegis Energy Services co-generation system and one half owner occupancy, 16-16 Whitestone Expressway is poised to offer tenants an exceptional working environment.
"I.U.O.E. Local 30 is extremely excited about our 100% Union built project that has contributed a significant number of jobs to the community and will serve as our home for many years to come," said William Lynn, Local 30 business manager.
"16-16 Whitestone Expressway sets the benchmark for high-quality office product in Queens. This state-of-the-art, energy-efficient office property stands alone in the market and serves as a model for new building development in the area," said Chipkin. "In addition to being the only new construction 'green' building in Queens, this exceptional, highly visible property offers convenient access to a number of major roadways."
The 60,000 s/f, six-story, glass-clad office property currently offers 30,000 s/f of office space available for immediate release with spring 2015 occupancy. Potential tenants can take advantage of separate utilities, expected 40 percent energy savings, abundant on-site parking and a number of New York City Municipal benefits.
