The Naftali Group has closed on the sale of The Bergen, a luxury rental apartment building located at 316 Bergen St. in the resurgent Boerum Hill neighborhood. The $52.2 million sale was brokered by Woody Heller of Savills Studley. The popular building debuted on the market in May, quickly reaching 40% leased just ten days later.
"We were one of the first developers to see the potential of this neighborhood, and we were able to fill a void in the market no one else was addressing," said Miki Naftali, Chairman and CEO of The Naftali Group. "The Bergen successfully raised the stakes for rental properties in the neighborhood, bringing greater expectations for high-end design and first class amenities and services to the area."
The stunning eight-story building features a mix of studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments with exquisite interiors designed by ODA Architecture. The building's modern aesthetic is embodied by large floor-to-ceiling windows, and flexible open layouts, including spacious closets. Select homes feature private balconies or terraces, and washer/dryers are included in most residences.
The Bergen features a wide range of amenities including landscaped roof deck furnished with cabanas, private dining areas, an outdoor shower and BBQ. The roof deck also offers dramatic views over the historic low-rise neighborhood that surrounds it. Other amenities include a fitness center with an outdoor workout space and yoga deck, a landscaped outdoor lounge and a media lounge with wet bar entertainment area. The building also includes a full-time doorman, concierge services by Abigail Michaels, a laundry facility and onsite parking.
The Bergen is a short walk from the trendy Atlantic Avenue and the serene Prospect Park, as well as centrally located near a number of transportation options. Additionally, the building is a few blocks from the recently opened Whole Foods, Brooklyn Academy of Music and The Barclays Center.
