According to Pamela Liebman, president and CEO of The Corcoran Group, executive vice president, director of sales Tresa Hall will retire. A 31-year real estate veteran, Hall spent 25 years with Corcoran, most of them in management. Hall shared the news of her upcoming retirement today with the agents and staff of the Corcoran firm. Hall said, "The decision to retire is not an easy one. It's been a long time coming, and after much careful consideration I knew the time was right for me. It's been my privilege and a pleasure to have been a part of this wonderful company and the Corcoran family." Hall started at Corcoran in 1989 as a sales associate at the East Side office. Shortly after she began she spearheaded Corcoran's famous "One Day Sale" in 1991 when the Manhattan residential market was at a standstill. For one day only, 87 apartments were offered at reduced prices in several buildings on the Upper East and Upper West Side of Manhattan. All 87 homes went into contract on that memorable day. After completing the "One Day Sale," Tresa held various management positions including managing director of Corcoran's West Side and East Side offices before being appointed executive vice president and director of sales in 2001. Hall is a past winner of the Real Estate Board of New York's prestigious Henry Forster Lifetime Achievement Award which recognized her contributions to the real estate community, the city and various charitable organizations. Liebman said, "Tresa Hall is a singular and special presence at Corcoran. She and I have worked closely together for 25 years, the last thirteen particularly, and I will miss her warmth and wisdom. I consider her one of my most trusted colleagues and one of my closest friends, so it is difficult to imagine coming to the office and not seeing Tresa. I am sure we will remain in close touch."
