On November 14, principal Paul Eng-Wong was honored at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) 2014 Celebration at the Pleasantdale Chateau. Eng-Wong received the Edward F. Weston Medal for Professional Achievement. The award is presented to an alumnus in recognition of professional and civic accomplishments and exceptional financial and volunteer support of the university through individual gifts.
NJIT is Eng-Wong's alma mater and he continues to give back and lend his time. Eng-Wong is one of many in VHB's Newark office who have graduated from NJIT and volunteer to advance students professional careers. "More than seventy percent of staff in VHB's Newark office are NJIT alumni. We cherish the relationship we have built with the school, and it's rewarding to help guide and educate current students," said Eng-Wong.
The Celebration honors individuals for achievements that are aligned with the university's mission.
The Celebration has raised more than $4.3M in scholarship endowment funds for students since 1995. The proceeds go to students who attend the Newark College of Engineering, College of Architecture and Design, College of Science and Liberal Arts, School of Management, Albert Dorman Honors College and College of Computing Sciences since 1995.
