How long have you been a member?
10 years
AREW positions held:
Secretary, member-at-large, special events co-chair, luncheon co-chair, charitable fund board member and Santa and WIN chairs
How has AREW contributed to your career growth?
The inclusive camaraderie in AREW makes networking among the members relaxed and effortless. The friends that I have made provide an unlimited font of information which is an invaluable tool and there is honest effort to help one another succeed.
Most memorable AREW moment:
My most memorable moment came at the 2007 members only luncheon when Martha Meli and I were presented with the Founders Award. I was bowled over because I had discussed who the recipient was to be and made sure that she was on the registration list etc, but it was a ruse. What a wonderful surprise!
AREW members who have positively influenced your career:
Anne Teshima and Martha Meli have both served as examples of women who achieved respect among their peers by doing impeccable work without the need for a spotlight. Their quiet dignity, diverse interests, and competence have led others to rely on them. I have learned a lot from their style.
