The Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island (CIBS-LI) has unveiled its new and returning officers and board members. The executive board members, serving two-year terms beginning January 1st, are: president-elect David Chinitz, Park Place Realty Group, LLC; vice president-elect Kyle Burkhardt, Alliance Real Estate Corp.; treasurer-elect David Leviton, CBRE; and secretary-elect Daniel Wiener, Integrated Realty Group, LLC. The immediate past-president of CIBS-LI Gary Joel Schacker, SIOR, United Realty, Inc. will serve as chair of the advisory board.
CIBS-LI members re-elected to serve on the general board are David Pennetta, SIOR, Cushman & Wakefield of Long Island, Inc. and Daniel Gazzola, managing director, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank. Newly elected general board members are Joseph Lagano II, Jones Lang LaSalle and Ted Stratigos, principal and managing director, Avison Young.
Bradley Diamond, Lee & Associates BQLI, will serve as a new associate board member.
"CIBS members are professionals who play a significant role in the economic growth and vitality of the region. For over 20 years CIBS has maintained a valuable and respected role in the discussion of commercial development on Long Island and has provided vital support and education for its members. As the new president, I join with the officers and board members in recommitting ourselves to our purpose, which is to remain an active voice for the commercial real estate industry and to renew our support of the communities we serve. CIBS, as a nonprofit organization keeps up with trends and the ever-changing demands of the industry. This organization can be proud of its history of funding educational scholarships and programs to benefit its membership and I pledge to continue these traditions," said Chinitz.
General board members serve five-year terms during which they either chair or serve on CIBS-LI committees, which include the Economic Development, Advisory, Future Generation, Sponsorship, Golfing, Program & Activities and Marketing and Communication.
