Unison Realty Partners (www.unisonrealtypartners.com) acquired Wegmans Plaza, a 122,876 s/f grocery-anchored shopping center located at 1575-1653 Military Rd. The total sale price was $9.3 million. The seller is Phillips Edison & Company.
"We are actively growing our portfolio of grocery-anchored shopping centers in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic markets. After closing on Fairbanks Plaza in Keene, NH, last month, we are pleased to add Wegmans Plaza to our portfolio. Keeping with our investment philosophy, the Plaza is well positioned in a heavy retail corridor, along with Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls USA and adjacent to a Walmart Supercenter, which attracts tourists visiting the Falls area and Canadian shoppers from nearby Toronto and its surrounding suburbs. In addition to its strategic location, Wegmans Plaza is anchored by Wegmans, the region's most popular supermarket, which occupies 82,600 s/f and is on a long term lease," said Karim Fadel, president of Unison Realty Partners.
