CBRE Group, Inc. has represented the New York Palace Hotel, operated by Northwood Hospitality, in the 26,190 s/f retail lease for the New York flagship store of Trunk Club, at The Villard Mansion, 457 Madison Ave. Owned by Nordstrom, Trunk Club is a high-end menswear purveyor.
CBRE retail's Michael Kadosh, first vice president, and Robert Bonicoro, represented Northwood Hospitality, which will see Trunk Club move into the Villard Mansion's entire ground-through-6th floor space on November 1st.
"We are proud to welcome Trunk Club to the unique and breathtaking venue that is The Villard Mansion on Madison Avenue," said Kadosh. "The Villard Mansion's Renaissance style architecture is remarkable and makes for a very special building. The Mansion is adjacent to the luxury New York Palace Hotel and steps away from the heart of the Madison-Fifth Avenue luxury retail corridors. The Mansion offers Trunk Club the opportunity to benefit from the thriving surrounding office market, as well as from the built-in global exposure to the hotel and nearby landmarks.
"The building feels custom tailored for Trunk Club's use as they are a perfect fit for the Villard Mansion. I believe their opening will be a catalyst for moving luxury further south on Madison Avenue."
Northwood Hospitality has completed a comprehensive renovation of the luxury hotel, further positioning the property as one of Manhattan's most sought-after hotel destinations.
