Name: Stephen Cadieux Title: President Company: Roland's Electric, Inc. Location: 307 Suburban Ave., Deer Park, N.Y. Birthplace: New Bedford, Mass. Education: Mepham High School and the School of Hard Knocks First job outside of real estate: I was an electrician. First job in real estate or allied field: My first job out of school was as an electrician. What do you do now and what are you planning for the future? As president of Roland's Electric I have diverse responsibilities from the highly technical, as each of our projects span many fields and disciplines that change everyday - commercial, industrial, water and sewage treatment, healthcare, institutional. I also run the estimating department of our company that bids over 500 projects per year in a very fast paced and competitive atmosphere. Then there is the collaborative and managerial end as I oversee over 100 office staff and electricians. As for the future, we've already set a path by connecting with past, present and future clients through digital technology - new website, email marketing, social media - which offers immediate dynamic communication and engagement. How do you unwind from a busy day in real estate? I like to go boating and play golf. I just took my staff out on our annual fishing trip... We had an excellent time out on the water - we relaxed, ate, had some laughs, and caught some fish! Favorite book or author: I really enjoy James Patterson Favorite movie: "My Cousin Vinny" Last song you purchased/downloaded? None - I love to listen to Pandora which plays all the music I like. One word to describe your work environment: Team Rules to live by in business: Our founder, my father Roland Cadieux always taught me that if you stay ahead of the competition by using the latest in tools and technology, treat your employees with respect, give your customers your total support, and perform quality work at competitive prices, then you will always succeed in an ever changing marketplace - and I have always held true to those guiding principles. What is your dream job? I am living it - I can't imagine doing anything else.
