RockFarmer Capital appoints Gleiber as COO

RockFarmer Capital LLC, led by principals George Michelis and John Petras, Joshua Gleiber has joined the firm as COO. As the firm continues to expand into new markets and advance its redevelopment practice with more complex projects, he will oversee the day-to-day operations of the firm and play a key role in its growth. He brings two decades of experience in the acquisition, development, sales, asset management, financing and construction of all property types to the firm.
Prior to joining RockFarmer Capital, Gleiber served as president of GARI Realty Advisors, a firm he founded in 2001. Gleiber also served as an executive vice president of Jones Lang LaSalle from 2005 to 2013. As a team leader in Jones Lang LaSalle's Special Asset Services and Note Sales Group within Real Estate Investment Banking, Gleiber was responsible for the workout and disposition of debt and REO with a value in excess of $3 billion. Gleiber began his career in the early 1990s asset managing and disposing of distressed real estate assets at ABN AMRO. He later joined BRT Realty Trust and served as a member of its Loan Committee, where he oversaw the liquidation of distressed real estate debt and equity positions. Through his extensive experience with managing distressed assets, Gleiber successfully transitioned to the investor side of the business in the late 1990s with a focus on value-add opportunities for Gould Investors, L.P.; Meringoff Properties; and Artery Capital.
Gleiber has served a wide range of international clients from Mexico, Germany, Bermuda, Ireland, Italy and many other countries. Gleiber's clients have varied in size from entrepreneurial investors to international financial institutions and sovereign nations. Gleiber is a New York State licensed Real Estate Broker; a New York State Department of Financial Services licensed Mortgage Loan Originator and a Fiduciary to serve as a Receiver Pursuant to Part 36 of the Rules of the Chief Judge in the State of New York Office of the Court Administrative Services. Mr. Gleiber is also a member of the Advisory Board of The George Washington University Center for Real Estate and Urban Analysis and an Adjunct Professor at New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate. He earned his Master of Science degree in Real Estate Development and Investment from New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate. Mr. Gleiber received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from The George Washington University. Mr. Gleiber is heavily involved with numerous charities and non-profit organizations with a particular focus on the Head Injury Association.
