At a time when Duane Reade and CVS are snapping up retail space across the city, independently-owned Irmat Pharmacy has signed a 16-year renewal at 2 Park Ave., according to Arnold Gamberg, executive vice president of EVO Real Estate Group, who represented the tenant.
Irmat, which first moved into the property in 1986, occupies 2,150 s/f for its retail services. The firm also occupies office space in the property.
"Irmat is known for its friendly, personal service and upscale atmosphere," said Gamberg. "There will always be a demand for this type of 'concierge' offering, as is reflected in this long-term renewal."
The landlord's retail leasing representative, Alisa Amsterdam, director of retail leasing at Cushman & Wakefield, describes Irmat as "a great service amenity for the top-tier tenancy that occupies the 1 million s/f, class A office building."
Irmat employs nine pharmacists, two interns and 18 technicians. For more information, please visit www.irmatpharmacy.com.
