I represented a fund advised by JPMorgan as the majority equity investor in connection with the formation of a portfolio joint venture, the acquisition of 3 office properties in Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts, and the closing of 3 acquisition financings and one loan defeasance. The properties were valued in excess of $1.5 billion dollars. This transaction was extremely complex and involved multiple legal disciplines to accomplish the closing. What are you doing differently in 2014 that has had positive impact on your career? In January 2014, I became the administrative partner of the real estate department at Stroock. Through this role, I have assumed new leadership responsibilities and now also have greater involvement with the other departments within Stroock, as well as the other offices of the firm. I am developing additional management skills and getting to know my colleagues better through the process.
