What were your biggest fears when you started out in your profession?
My biggest fear starting out was that I would get bored doing the same thing every day. I have been lucky enough to be a part of so many diverse and challenging projects in my career that not one has felt repetitive.
Who are three women- living or dead - that you would like to have drinks with and why?
i. Peggy Guggenheim - because she lived in Technicolor, and saved so much remarkable art from being lost to us forever.
ii. Meryl Streep - because she delves so far into the human psyche; she is a master at her craft; and is powerful, feminine, and elegant all at once.
iii. Zaha Hadid - because she is an undeniable force in the international design world. Her work proves that art and life are inextricably linked.
What is your favorite quote?
"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." - Maya Angelou
What are you doing differently in 2014 that has had positive impact on your career?
I've been more conscious recently of reading foreign magazines and blogs, and taking in foreign films. I am always amazed at how my "visual library" builds without even realizing it. My tastes and sensibilities evolve and develop based on what I allow myself to read, think, and see.
