The Greater New York Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) has three upcoming events.
On October 23rd, IREM will hold a networking social event at Lucky Strike, 624-660 West 42nd St. Join IREM members for cocktails, appetizers and bowling. The event is $85 per person.
On November 10th, IREM will hold "Ethics for the Real Estate Manager" from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Knickerbocker Plaza (Lobby Level), 1751 Second Ave. (between 91st & 92nd Sts.)
Addressing ethical dilemmas commonly faced by today's real estate managers, this course teaches strategies for resolving ethical dilemmas and adherence to the IREM Code of Professional Ethics, culminating in an exam to earn IREM credentialing credit. What you will learn:
* IREM Code of Professional Ethics: Applications to real world situations, ethical duties to clients, tenants/residents, employers, and colleagues.
* Ethical decision making: Ethical vs. unethical business practices, tactics for resolving ethical dilemmas, scenarios with ethical implications.
* Conflict of interest: Fiduciary relationships, conflict of interest scenarios.
* Detailed case study: Enforcement of the IREM Code of Professional Ethics, the role of the IREM Ethics and Discipline Committee, review of actual ethics cases and their implications.

The member rate is $185 and the non-member rate is $230.
On November 11th & 12th and 17Âth & 18th, IREM will hold "Managing Residential Properties" with an ARM Exam on November 19th. The classes will be held from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and the exam will run from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The course will be held at Knickerbocker Plaza (Lobby Level), 1751 Second Ave. (between 91st & 92nd Sts.)

* Property financial management.
* Maintenance/risk management.
The member rate is $860 and the non-member rate is $1,060.
