Remember when: September 10, 1991

A recent ribbon cutting ceremony commemorated the opening of LaGuardia Airport's new six-lane roadway on the upper departure level of the main terminal building. The road expansion is part of the Port Authority's $340 million LaGuardia Airport Redevelopment Program, designed to handle projected growth while providing improved service. Lehrer McGovern Bovis, Inc., (LMB) a New York City-based construction management firm, was selected as program and construction manager for the project in 1988.
