According to Creative Environment Solutions (CES) Corp., CES Environmental & Safety Training Center presented hazard detection and instrumentation training, one of the most rigorous components of the OSHA/EPA HAZWOPER program, to City College of New York (CCNY) Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (EAS) students.
CES is one of the only companies in Metro New York area certified by the US EPA External Training Program, which evaluated CES on the high degree of professionalism, quality and competency. The courses include 40Hr Hazardous Waste Operations Emergency Response (HAZWOPER), Air Monitoring for Emergency Response (AMFER), Hazardous Materials Technician (HMT) and Sampling for Hazardous Materials (SFHM).
Students received hands-on equipment and procedural instruction for operations involving remediation, hazardous wastes and emergency response for releases of hazardous substances. The intensive training supplemented CCNY curriculum for students pursuing careers in environmental science. Students were brought together with CES industry professionals in interactive sessions.
CES has provided pro-bono training to academic institutions including CCNY and Hunter College of City University of New York, and Cooper Union. Colleges and clients recognize CES as a key training component for environmental, health and safety courses. In addition, CES was just praised by Columbia University for the effectiveness of implementation of health and safety training programs there.
