Briscoe Protective Systems Inc. is making progress with one of its many goals for 2014, which includes expanding into Westchester County. The expansion falls in line with the company's goal to enhance its business outside of Long Island and the five boroughs of New York City.
In the beginning of 2014, the company entered into a multimillion-dollar credit facility and banking agreement with Suffolk County National Bank, in order to acquire other fire and security alarm companies. Although it took a few months to get the increased line of credit because Briscoe is considered a "small business," rather than a Fortune 500 company, Bob Williams, president, Briscoe Protective Systems Inc., says he is confident that his company has the capability to grow by 20% by integrating newly acquired companies into its existing operations. "We have many customers in the Long Island and New York City areas, such as nonprofit agencies, with locations in Westchester, so we felt that expanding to Westchester was a logical addition to our marketing area," said Williams.
"Briscoe can now focus on serving more customers beyond Long Island and the five boroughs of New York City and will hopefully grow out of the 'small business' category," said Williams . "This will allow more New York businesses to learn about the various fire and security alarm systems Briscoe has to offer. Eventually, the company hopes to grow beyond New York State in order to serve a wider range of customers."
"We are proud to announce this milestone," said Williams. "We cannot wait to get to know our new customers and bring our experience and expertise in fire and security alarms to Westchester-area businesses. This has been something we have been thinking about for a while, so it is rewarding to finally say that we've accomplished a big part of our goal."
