Hunt Construction Services, Inc. awarded two contracts including a 30,000 s/f parking lot
August 11, 2014 - Long Island
Hunt Construction Services, Inc. has been assigned the renovation project of a 30,000 s/f parking lot at 839 Stewart Ave. Hunt was hired by the owner/landlord, WFM Enterprises and will act as a general contractor. The property is improved with a multi-tenanted commercial and office building.
"Like many parking lots, this one was brutalized by the harsh winter, said Robert Ciurleo, project manager at Hunt. "We were contracted to repair cracks and pot holes in the parking lot asphalt, then seal-coat it. This is the type of repair work that will greatly extend the life of any parking lot. Finally, we'll be putting fresh line striping, giving the lot a new look."
Also, Hunt has been awarded a contract by Great Neck Saw Manufacturers, Inc. to complete both interior and exterior renovations for the building located at 257 East Second St. in Mineola.
The building is presently occupied by a long-term tenant, Max USA.
"The work that is being done is the result of a recent lease renewal," said David Hunt, president of Hunt. "Max USA needed an additional loading dock and entrance, as well as interior modifications to make the building more functional for their needs."
Rob Ciurleo, the project manager at Hunt, said, "The outside work will require an additional loading dock complete with a dock leveler and a new drive-in door. The exterior modifications will also require new drainage and chain-link fence modifications. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of the summer or early fall."
