Schachter named community relations director of Sterling Glen of Roslyn
April 11, 2008 - Long Island
Jean Schachter of Oyster Bay, N.Y., has been named community relations director of Sterling Glen of Roslyn. Since opening this past summer as the North Shore's only waterfront independent living senior residence, Sterling Glen has become the leading choice for active seniors seeking to enjoy luxurious, carefree retirement living.
In her new role, Schachter joins Charlene Loglisci, who also serves as a community relations director, in implementing and overseeing all marketing and sales efforts as well as outreach to increase awareness regarding Sterling Glen's senior lifestyle.
"Jean brings a wealth of expertise, deep-rooted community ties and a warm interpersonal style to her new role at Sterling Glen of Roslyn," said Michael Brown, executive director. "Her efforts will assist Sterling Glen and our residents in strengthening their ties to the Village of Roslyn and the surrounding area."
Prior to joining Sterling Glen, Schachter spent seven years as membership director of Sid Jacobson JCC in Roslyn. During her tenure, the agency expanded their facility by 50 percent and Schachter quickly filled the space with new members. Past work experience includes serving as an event manager/project coordinator for a marketing communications firm in New York City.
"I am so pleased to be a part of the Sterling Glen of Roslyn family, where residents and staff alike have made me feel so very welcome," said Schachter. "Part of my focus will be to reach out to local businesses in order to generate greater awareness of Sterling Glen and to forge ties throughout the Roslyn community."
