Wolf Haldenstein Adler Freeman & Herz LLP recently welcomed Jeremy Cohen Esq. as a partner to the firm. Cohen will be working on real estate and commercial disputes. Prior to joining Wolf Haldenstein, Cohen was as a senior associate with Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP. Among his noteworthy accomplishments in the real estate arena were: winning dismissal of a $20 million fraud claim against a condominium developer in the N.Y. County Commercial Division; helping a client secure ownership of a marina in the Caribbean; obtaining dismissal of breach of contract claims against the owner of a professional sports team in connection with its development of a new arena; and securing dismissal of derivative claims against a hotel developer. In 2014, Cohen was recognized by the New York Law Journal as one of 42 statewide 40-and-Under Rising Stars of the New York Bar. He also has been recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers, New York City Metro Edition in each of the past two years. In 2013, he received the distinguished service award from the New York Bar Association Committee on Law Youth and Citizenship. In the non-profit sector, for more than a decade he has been a member of the Advisory Board of Legal Outreach, Inc., an organization that prepares high school students from underserved communities in New York City to compete at high academic levels and matriculate to competitive colleges and universities. Cohen obtained his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 2000, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and he served as executive editor of The Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems.
