According to Wilbur Breslin, president of Breslin Realty Development Corp., the Burton & Doyle Steakhouse located at 611 Northern Blvd. has been sold for $2.5 million.
The 8,000 s/f restaurant facility, formerly operated by "Salute" was owned and operated by Mario Sbarro. In 1998, when steakhouses were in demand Sbarro changed the operation and name to Burton & Doyle.
For the purchase negotiations, Charles Navarro of Breslin represented buyer and seller. The buyer, Joseph Zangri, owner and operator of the Watermill Restaurant in Smithtown, together with Burt Brodsky, owner of the City Cellar Restaurant in Westbury, plan a major renovation to the restaurant which will continue to operate as a new contemporary Burton & Doyle Steakhouse.
